Ms. Alexis Airington

Ahoy, Mateys! Welcome to First Grade!
My name is Alexis Airington, and I’m thrilled to be your captain on this year’s learning adventure! This will be my eighth year teaching, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things we’ll discover together.

 

I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Early Childhood Education—Go Gamecocks! I grew up in Richburg, SC, and spent much of my childhood in Rock Hill. After college, I made the move to York, and I’m so happy to call it home!

When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with my two Siberian Huskies, Freya and Thor. I also enjoy reading, going to Disney, and making memories with my family.

 

One of the best parts of being a teacher is watching my students grow and learn throughout the year. First Grade is such an exciting time filled with curiosity, discovery, and big milestones—and I’m honored to be part of it with you.

 

I’m looking forward to a fantastic year full of learning, laughter, and lots of adventures with my new crew of first graders!
