Ms. Stacey Lewis

Welcome to the Northside Elementary School of the Arts 5th grade family! My name is Stacey Lewis, and I have had the pleasure of teaching at Northside since 2000. I also have 6 years of teaching experience with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. I am a graduate of Winthrop University where I obtained my Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education and my Masters’ degree in Reading. I also received my National Board Certification in 2005. I have experience teaching 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades, but 5th is definitely my FAVORITE! I grew up in Charlotte, NC, where I met my husband in junior high school. We enjoy traveling and camping in our spare time. We have a son, a daughter, a son-in-law, son, and a precious grandson.  We also have an Anatolian Shepherd and a bunch of chickens! One of my favorite quotes, which has influenced my philosophy of teaching is, “Tell me and I’ll forget. Show me and I may remember. Involve me and I will learn. ~Benjamin Franklin
