Cindy Siddons

Mrs. Siddons was born and raised in Iron Station, NC. Growing up in this small, tight-knit community shaped her values and fostered a strong sense of community.

From her days as a track member in her youth, a passion she carried when she ran track at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), to her time in the U.S. Air Force as a medical lab technician, she has always strived for excellence. Her thirst for knowledge led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, and later a Master of Science in Chemistry from UNCW.

Career

Mrs. Siddons began her teaching career in 2002. She taught chemistry lab courses at UNCW and later Algebra and Chemistry at Cape Fear Community College. Mrs. Siddons was recruited to teach at a local high school. Her passion for teaching at the high school level led her to take additional courses to earn her teaching license for general science. Since then, she has been a dedicated high school science teacher, marking her seventh year in South Carolina after a successful fifteen-year tenure in North Carolina. Mrs. Siddons is working on her EdD through the University of South Carolina.

Personal Life

Outside of her professional endeavors, she and her husband serve as Youth Leaders at her church, where she guides and mentors the younger generation. Mrs. Siddons is a proud mother of six children, four of whom are Veterans, with two still serving on active duty in the Coast Guard. She has eight grandchildren.
